Hi, I’m Sydne!
Are you ready to start moving through life authentically and embrace the full experience of being human?
Welcome - I’m Sydne and I help individuals who are motivated & curious about looking inwards.
We'd be a great fit if:
You are wanting to explore who you are on a deeper level or wanting to grow/evolve/adapt in healthy ways
You are eager to heal from past traumas and better understand the dynamics/roles you find yourself in today
You think it would be helpful to have a dedicated safe space to process the intense level of baseline stress from being a human in 2025
I specialize in working with adults and older adults (in NY & NJ) with difficulties managing stress, trauma, anxiety, depression, life transitions, spirituality, existentialism, grief, and aging.
You show up fully as yourself, I'll show up fully as myself, and we'll work collaboratively to build the life you want and deserve to be living.
Humans face a remarkable range of experiences - I'm here to assure you that you do not need to do it all on your own.
Whatever it is that brings you to therapy is valid and I am looking forward to sitting with you.
About me
Education & Experience
I graduated from the University of Delaware with a BA in Psychology and a BS in Cognitive Science.
I furthered my education at NYU Silver School of Social Work for my masters.
I specialize in working with adults and older adults with difficulties managing trauma, anxiety, depression, life transitions, grief, and aging.
I have training in evidence based modalities including EMDR, CBT, DBT, CPT, crises interventions, and trauma informed care. I have also completed a 200 hour yoga teacher training.
Outside of being a therapist, I enjoy working out (running, yoga, hiking, and HIIT boxing classes), trying new restaurants, live music, and spending time with my dog. Utilizing these activities enhance how I show up in my work by keeping myself balanced, fulfilled, and recharged!
Approach as a Therapist
My clients describe me as warm, genuine, curious, and patient.
Humans are complex and unique - my process as a clinician mirrors that. I believe that lasting work starts with a non-judgmental foundation and strong therapeutic relationship.
Depending on what your treatment calls for, I use a holistic, trauma informed, person centered approach with aspects of IFS, CBT, DBT, lots of support/empathy/holding space, gentle confrontation/observations, and humor.
I'm also in the process of getting certified in practicing EMDR through EMDRIA.
We can incorporate things that feel right and helpful to you as well as work dynamically to push through discomfort and try new things.

FAQ
-
Request a free 15 minute consultation where we go over what you’re looking to get out of therapy, what you’re looking for in a therapist, and how well I can mesh with that vision.
-
I am in-network for Aetna, Cigna, and Optum.
I am also able to see clients without those plans and can provide monthly superbills with all the necessary information to be submitted to your insurance company so that you can receive reimbursement using your out-of-network benefits.
-
Insurance companies often reimburse a percentage of the therapist's fee, usually after you meet an out-of-network deductible. (For example, after you meet a $1,000 deductible, your insurance may reimburse 50-80% of the session cost.)
The superbill I provide each month will include all of the information needed for your insurance provider to process the claim. Please call the number on the back of your insurance card to inquire about your eligibility for out-of-network benefits. Below are some questions to ask on this call:
Do I have out-of-network benefits for outpatient mental health therapy? Does this include teletherapy?
What is my out-of-network deductible for outpatient mental health services? How much of my deductible has been met already?
Once I meet my deductible, what percentage of the session fee will be covered? Is there a limit on how many sessions are covered per year? How do I submit the claims?
-
Sessions are 55 minutes long at $175 a session.
-
Typically we will meet once a week. However, my main priority is your wellbeing, so if that means there are times where increased sessions are needed or biweekly sessions are indicated, we can definitely discuss that.
-
I offer sessions virtually (using a secure HIPAA compliant platform) to make care as accessible as possible.
-
You will be charged in full for any appointment missed or canceled with less than 24 hours notice. I am happy to reschedule you for another session that same week if I have an opening.
